Getting started with metafields

Metafields are a powerful way to enrich your BigCommerce store with content.

They’re most commonly used on products as they can fit more characters than custom fields.  However, metafields are available on a wide range of resources: product variants, brands, categories, customers, orders, channels and locations.

Create simple to use workflows with shared metafields

It can be a pain to go through the process of creating a metafield on every product so we created shared metafields.

With shared metafields, you can define all fields and their type in advance, e.g. product relations, back-in-stock date or USP content block.

This app should be adopted by BC and made native within the solution. This is what custom fields should be, with proper field types and shared fields it streamlined development and also made it easier for the E-Comm team to manage our system

Metafields really unlock the potential of BigCommerce and this clever app harnesses the ability to manage them quickly and easily within the BC Control Panel.
