UX AUDIT

Understand your UX better and discover opportunities for better conversion rates and growth.

Recognise these pain points?

  • Struggling conversion rates
  • High bounce rates
  • Mobile not performing as well as you'd like
  • Calls to action not performing as well as they used to
  • New features or tests just not having the traction you expected
  • General confusion around what your users really think/want
  • You know your UX isn't great but your not sure where to start

What you can expect to take away from a UX audit.

  • A full report which you can refer to and re-use as a template for future audits/user research.
  • An understanding of your use case vs edge case allowing you to better focus on your primary audience and prioritise future features.
  • Real user feedback on how your website is to use and what difficulties those users experienced as well as what your website is doing well.
  • A prioritisation matrix which makes suggestions based on the audit's findings and breaks them down into small actionable pieces of work.

What sorts of insights you can expect?

One of the biggest mistakes businesses make is it to assume they know what their users want even though they have never actually spoken to them!

Use case vs. Edge case

Through the user research, we will look to identify the use case in a given scenario. The use case is the most common scenario, behaviour or goal. “You can’t please everyone all of the time.” but we can identify your most common user and cater to their needs.

Edge cases are less common and not worth disrupting your use cases to please. Edge cases can be catered for by taking them on a slight diversion from the standard journey, letting them carry out their tasks before rejoining the rest of the flow.

Qualitative and quantitative

There are many different tools and methods we can use to research your website, and it’s users, the ones we end up using will depend on a range of factors.

However, we will always use both qualitative and quantitative methods to build up a fair, unbiased picture of what’s going on. On top of that, we will look to have both observational and attitudinal input, and it’s where these overlap that we find the real gems of information.

How long does the audit take?

The length of time that a single audit takes varies depending on the complexity, but you can expect between 3 and 6 weeks.

This will be influenced by the amount and type of research needed and also your availability for input.

What happens after the UX Audit?

Once the UX audit is complete, you will have a list of actionable tasks in your prioritisation matrix. Some of these tasks might be ready to go straight into development and others may need to go into a UX iterative cycle where we design, prototyping and user test a concept before developing it.
